Sad news out of the “Jurassic Park” family — the cause of death for actor Sam Neill has been revealed. His manager says Neill died from pneumonia. He had battled lymphoma and came out the other side, but he definitely didn’t slow down. The guy was still acting, running his award-winning Two Paddocks winery, and filmed four projects in the year before his passing. True to his personality, there won’t be a big Hollywood-style memorial — just a small private gathering because Sam reportedly didn’t want a big fuss made over him.
“Ozark” star Julia Garner and her husband, musician Mark Foster, have called it quits after six years of marriage. The two met back in 2013, eventually started dating, and tied the knot in 2019. No word from their reps yet, but after six years together, it’s definitely the end of an era.
The royal family drama continues. Prince Harry’s recent reunion with King Charles reportedly helped their relationship, but when it comes to Harry and Prince William… not so much. Sources say the brothers’ relationship is still “deeply fractured” with no real contact happening. Apparently, Diana would have been heartbroken seeing her sons go from inseparable to barely speaking.
And this one is a headline you don’t see every day — R. Kelly is asking President Trump to commute his 31-year prison sentence. He’s not asking for a pardon, just a reduced sentence. The request is pending, and there’s been no decision yet.
Carmen Electra is back in Playboy nearly 30 years after her first appearance. The former “Baywatch” star says the secret to feeling good isn’t just about looks — it’s confidence, humor, and having a real connection. Honestly, that’s advice that ages better than most Hollywood trends.
Awards season news — the Critics Choice Super Awards nominations are out, honoring action, superhero, sci-fi, fantasy, and horror projects. “The Rip,” “Supergirl,” and “Weapons” are among the nominees. Winners will be announced August 6th.
Netflix’s upcoming animated movie “Steps” is stacking up the voice cast. Daniel Radcliffe will play the Prince, Peter Dinklage is the villain, and they’re joining a cast that already includes Amanda Seyfried, Ali Wong, Stephanie Hsu, Bette Midler, and Young Mazino.
Guillermo del Toro’s “Frankenstein” is getting an upgraded release. The Criterion Collection is adding an extra eight minutes of footage, plus bonus features with behind-the-scenes material, commentary, and conversations with the cast.
Bad news for Batman fans — “The Batman: Part 2” has been pushed back again. Robert Pattinson’s return as the Dark Knight is now expected in 2028. At this point, Gotham City might need a calendar reminder.
And finally — Post Malone is joining the lineup for this Sunday’s World Cup final in East Rutherford, New Jersey. He’ll be the closing act, because apparently even soccer’s biggest stage needs a little “Beerbongs & Bentleys” energy.
