During summer, kids get used to late nights, more screens, more flexibility. When September hits, suddenly there’s structure again, so experiencing pushback is normal.
Parents and kids need to remember that while the beginning feels tough, routines eventually provide relief and stability. Routine equals calm while lack of routine equals chaos.
