Taylor Swift’s wedding was basically Fort Knox. If you wanted an invite, you also had to sign an NDA. Family, lifelong friends… everybody. Guests had to hand over their phones too. Apparently even Taylor’s own family had to sign the paperwork. That’s the only wedding where saying “I do” wasn’t even the biggest commitment of the day.
One name missing from the guest list? Blake Lively. Reports say Blake and Ryan Reynolds skipped the wedding and instead went to watch their daughter compete in a horse show. Sources say Taylor never got over Blake pulling her into all the Justin Baldoni drama, so there wasn’t an invitation. Looks like this friendship is still in its “we’re not talking” era.
Savannah Guthrie is still pleading for answers five months after her mother, Nancy, was abducted in Arizona. She called it “five months of agony” and thanked investigators for continuing the search. Authorities say the investigation remains active, with DNA and surveillance evidence still being analyzed.
Prince Harry won’t be staying at Buckingham Palace during his upcoming trip to the U.K. after reportedly missing the deadline to accept the King’s invitation. His children also won’t be making the trip because of ongoing security concerns. Harry will still be in Britain for charity work and court hearings.
Britney Spears has apparently hired a chauffeur following her recent DUI arrest. She was spotted riding in the passenger seat of a black Mercedes with someone else behind the wheel. Probably the smartest ride she’s taken in a while.
George Clooney is set to receive a lifetime achievement award at the Venice Film Festival. He says it’s his favourite festival in the world, then joked the award is Hollywood’s way of saying, “Congratulations… you’re old.”
Here’s a movie that just won’t slow down. Obsession was made for just $750,000 and has now earned more than $400 million worldwide. That’s the kind of success that has every studio executive asking, “Can somebody find me another low-budget horror script?”
And Heat 2 is expected to begin filming in November with Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale. Adam Driver is also reportedly being considered for the villain role.
Finally, Minions & Monsters topped the weekend box office. Turns out those little yellow guys still know how to get families into theatres.
