As summer comes to an end and students across the Quinte region get ready return to the classroom, teachers and directors are also looking forward to the big day.

In the lead up to the new school semester, OPP are reminding motorists to slow down, stay alert and exercise extra caution as school zones become busier and traffic increases during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up times.
There will also be more than 12,000 students will be going back to over 40 schools operated under the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board (ALCDSB).
Carey Smith-Dewey, director of education at ALCDSB, joined the MIX Morning Crew to spread positive vibes and words of encouragement to students of all ages.
