The excitement around lacrosse in Belleville is building in a big way after we welcomed Josh Hill to the morning show to talk about the arrival of the brand-new Belleville Kodiaks.
Belleville has always been a strong hockey town, but now fans will have another fast-paced, hard-hitting sport to rally behind as Senior B lacrosse officially arrives in the city. During the interview, Hill talked about the energy surrounding the new franchise, the importance of growing the game locally, and what fans can expect from the team’s inaugural season.
The Kodiaks are entering their first season in the Ontario Series Lacrosse league with plenty of excitement already surrounding the organization. The team will play a 12-game regular season schedule, including six home games at Wally Dever Arena.
The next home game for the Belleville Kodiaks is set for Friday, May 16th at Wally Dever Arena, where the team will once again look to defend home floor in front of what is expected to be another energetic hometown crowd.
The addition of senior lacrosse gives Belleville another chance to showcase local athletes, build rivalries across Ontario, and create a new family-friendly entertainment option in the community.
Tickets for the home opener are priced at $10 for adults, while kids 16 and under can get in for $5.
