Jamaica is slowly starting to get back on its feet after the devastating category 5 storm.
Local communities have joined hands to provide aid to the island nation, with Prime Minister Andrew Holness estimating the damage at US$6 to $7 billion, equivalent to about 30 per cent of the country’s gross domestic product.
Most recently, Prince Edward County OPP held a donation drive to collect items, and also offered Jamaican food onsite, with proceeds going to the relief efforts.
Today on the MIX Morning Show, Sgt Aaron Bucci told Sean Kelly and Mariam Serkal that the drive was a success and will be shipped over to Jamaica ASAP.
