Big weekend at the box office for Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” — the movie sailed straight to number one, bringing in a massive $124.5 million. Not bad for a story that’s been around for a few thousand years. Turns out Homer still knows how to open a movie.
The World Cup Championship game was basically a celebrity convention. The stands were packed with stars like Taylor Swift’s fellow A-listers… okay, not Taylor, but we had Jay-Z and Beyoncé, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, Matt Damon, Kevin Hart, Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union, MrBeast, Jon Hamm, and a whole bunch more. Basically, if you had a famous face, there was a good chance you were at the game.

At this point, teams might want to check if Drake is cheering for the other side.
Robbie Williams had to clear up some internet drama after fans noticed a white spot during his World Cup interview. People online were making some… creative guesses. Robbie jumped in and said, “Relax, it was just mints.” The internet: undefeated at turning nothing into something.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s dog is apparently living better than most humans. According to reports, the pup gets human-grade food from a private chef and even travels by private jet. Somewhere, your dog is looking at its regular kibble like, “We need to talk.”
Andy Cohen has made his relationship Instagram official. He shared a photo with boyfriend Kevin Sobieski and simply captioned it “Date night.” Andy says they’ve been together for nearly a year and calls Kevin kind, strong, smart, and someone his kids love too.
Tom Brady and Logan Paul may take their feud to WWE. Talks are reportedly underway between Brady and WWE, though it’s unclear if the 7-time Super Bowl champ will wrestle. The two have traded shots for months, and Brady’s connection with WWE through Raiders ownership ties could help make a matchup happen.
A big Hollywood business story: a judge has temporarily paused the massive Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery merger. Several states are challenging the deal, saying it could hurt competition. More drama behind the scenes than in some of their movies.
Netflix is also making a big move into AI. The company bought Ben Affleck’s AI startup, InterPositive, for $587 million. Affleck says the technology is meant to help filmmakers build scenes using their own material, not just type in a sentence and magically create a movie.
Anne Hathaway has a very full schedule right now. She’s starring in “The Odyssey,” recently had “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” is expecting her third child, and now her new dinosaur movie “The End of Oak Street” is getting early positive reactions. Apparently, Anne Hathaway does not believe in having a quiet year.
And finally, Jason Bourne could be coming back. Matt Damon says he’s working on a new Bourne movie, but he wants the story to feel fresh. He says the challenge is making a sequel people want while still giving them something new. So basically… more Bourne, but not just Bourne running around looking confused in another European city.
