On Remembrance Day, Sean Kelly and Mariam Serkal welcome Joan Larocque, widow to local veteran who will lay the Silver Cross Wreath at the Trenton Cenotaph.
This is the third consecutive year for Joan to lay the Silver Cross wreath for Trenton Legion. Joan’s act of remembrance is not only for Jacques, but for all families who carry the stories of sacrifice and service.
After Jacques’ passing, Joan opened Larocque Boutique in downtown Trenton. The lighting and giftware store is named in tribute to him. Jacques’ name hangs above the door, and his boots sit quietly in the window, a symbol of a life dedicated to country and family.
