Recently, I took my drone out for a few flights and found myself back at one of my favorite local spots—Lock 7 on the Trent-Severn Waterway in Glen Ross, just north of Frankford. There’s something about this place that never gets old, especially when viewed from above.
From the drone’s perspective, the Trent River winds gracefully through the trees, and the lock quietly does its work, moving boats through the waterway. It’s a peaceful scene, one that feels timeless and serene. Seeing it from the air really offers a fresh perspective and highlights the natural beauty and engineering marvel in equal measure.
Beyond the lock itself, the back roads around Glen Ross invite exploration. If you enjoy little detours and discovering hidden gems, this area is full of charm and surprises waiting to be found.
If you’ve never been to Glen Ross, it’s definitely worth a visit. And if you have, chances are you haven’t experienced it quite like this—from high above, with a bird’s-eye view that reveals new details and a deeper appreciation for the landscape.
