Canada totally rocked the “Who’s the Coolest Country?” contest according to a report by US News & World Report! It was basically a global popularity showdown, and guess what? Canada totally nailed it! Switzerland, you know, the place famous for yodeling and making amazing chocolate, managed to grab the first-place spot for the second year running. But here’s the twist: Canada zoomed from third to second place, leaving Germany in the dust.
So, in this survey with 17,000 folks from all around the globe, they played this fun game of “Guess the Country” based on attributes like power, cultural influence, heritage, and social purpose. And surprise, surprise – Canada’s reputation for politeness and love for poutine really resonated with the judges!
But hold on, the excitement doesn’t stop there. Sweden, with its IKEA furniture and mouthwatering meatballs, snatched the third spot. Australia and the good ol’ USA followed closely, proving that kangaroos and apple pie can still capture hearts.
And hey, they even had a side ranking for “Adventure.” That’s where countries like New Zealand, famous for its jaw-dropping landscapes, racked up some serious points.
So, Canada, known for its endless winters and, of course, endless politeness, is officially one of the coolest countries on the planet. But fair warning, it might be a bit pricey to live here. 😉
