Sad news – Jerry Springer, the iconic host of “The Jerry Springer Show” and “Judge Jerry,” has passed away at the age of 79 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was known for the outrageous guests and fights on his show that kept us glued to our screens. Jerry passed away peacefully at his home in Chicago. We’ll miss you, Jerry. RIP.
Now, let’s move on to something wilder. Machine Gun Kelly’s 33rd birthday party ended with the police helicopter and bullhorn. Yes, you heard it right. Authorities got involved, but it’s still unclear why. Maybe they were jealous of MGK shooting flames six feet into the air out of what looked like a long gun. The party was lit, but eventually, the police had to put out the fire and ask everyone to leave. That’s one way to celebrate your birthday, I guess.
In other news, The Walt Disney Co. is suing Florida Governor Ron DeSantis over the loss of their special district. Disney claims that the Governor’s oversight board was enacting revenge for Disney’s political speech against the “Don’t Say Gay” law, in violation of the First Amendment.
And if you’re a fan of Red Table Talk, I have some bad news. Facebook Watch has cancelled the show and other original programming. But fear not, Westbrook Studios, founded by Jada Pinkett-Smith and Will Smith, is reportedly looking for a new distributor for the show.
On a lighter note, HBO Max has released a teaser for the second season of the Sex and the City spinoff. Yes, ladies (and gentlemen), the second season is coming back to the streaming platform in June. I can’t wait to see what our favorite New Yorkers have been up to.
And last but not least, it’s the end of an era. James Corden’s final show airs tonight. He’s already said that he’s going to try not to cry, but I think we all know he’s going to be a blubbering mess. I mean, who wouldn’t be emotional saying goodbye to such a long and successful run? We’ll miss you, James!
