It’s been years since Rihanna has released new solo music but she is back with the lead single from the soundtrack to the Black Panther sequel.
“Lift Me Up,” with songwriting credits going to Tems, Ludwig Goransson, Black Panther director Ryan Coogler and Rihanna, is billed as a tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman, who played titular character in the first movie.
He died of cancer in 2020.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is in theatres November 11.
Rihanna will headline the Super Bowl LVII halftime show in Glendale, Arizona, Feb. 12, 2023.
