ven though we’ve been told that hangovers are harder to manage when you get older, a new study is claiming the opposite and that you get less severe hangovers!
Researchers recently published a study in a journal called Alcohol and Alcoholism that actually went against the common belief that when you’re young you can easily fight off a hangover by drinking some water and eating a good breakfast.
It turns out that hangovers get easier with age because we develop a reduced pain sensitivity as we get older. Essentially this means that we’ve developed such a tolerance for being hungover that it doesn’t affect us as it used to when we were 21.
Hopefully this means you’ll start seeing a lot more older people out in the city once the pandemic is over, because we want to test this theory out ourselves!
