Need something to switch up the conversation with your family this weekend?
Look no further than the latest TikTok theory that claims you can only swallow two to three times consecutively before your body forces you to stop!
TikTok user Jesse Beharrell recently shared a video demonstrating the theory where he could only swallow three times without any water or drink before his body pretty much forced him to stop dry-swallowing.
Now a bunch of people have already commented that they were able to do it a couple more times, but it’s all because of the muscles in your throat.
Essentially, the process of swallowing is actually called “peristalsis” and it’s less likely to occur the dryer your throat is because your body indicates that nothing is going down your throat.
You can see the original TikTok below and definitely use this as a great icebreaker this weekend!
