For kids and teens, social isolation has been shown to be problematic for mental health. This morning we are talking about how to use this time to teach an important skill – adaptability.
Even when we get beyond the pandemic, Adaptability is extremely important in a world where things change fast. For some people, change is uncomfortable and they get worried about what that outcome of change is going to look like. For example, if I take on a new role at work or, in the case of kids, try out for a sport, how am I going to handle the result – whatever it is. When we get stuck in the worry, we do what we need to do to make the change happen.
