You’ve likely heard of cuffing season (when it gets chilly outside and you want to begin a relationship so you have someone to snuggle with), but have you heard of fielding season? Apparently it’s the opposite of cuffing season, and Urban Dictionary says it officially begins in late May and ends sometime in September. During this time, “people like to keep it cool and play the field.” Cuffing season, on the other hand, is widely considered to begin in October. As far as field season being a real thing, previous research has shown people are more likely to go on dates in the summer.
