One man decided to propose to his girlfriend for an entire month — without actually popping the question. 30-year-old Edi Okoro from the UK bought his girlfriend Cally Read a ring earlier this year and instead of asking for her marriage right then and there, he decided to carry the ring with him everywhere they went. He wrote in an album entitled “How I proposed to Cally” on Facebook, “I took the ring with me everywhere hoping the ‘moment’ would arise in line with my spontaneous style.” He continued, “After a month or so of waiting for the right moment, I was sitting on the sofa admiring ‘my precious,’ and it hit me! … I should just start documenting these moments!” The photo album included photos of Okoro holding the ring just behind her at a store checkout counter, or hiding it in plain sight in her jewelry box. A few times, he even put the ring in her hand as she slept. On August 31st, Okoro confirmed that he was engaged and didn’t share how he finally popped the question, saying “a story for another time. But he did reveal that he never got caught and Cally didn’t find out about his game until several weeks later.
