A Pennsylvania 16-year-old won $3 million on Sunday (July 28th) as the winner of the inaugural Fortnite World Cup tournament in New York’s Arthur Ashe tennis stadium. Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf dominated from the first round and is taking home the largest-ever payout for a single player in an esports tournament. The weekend tournament included other competitions, including for duos and an amateurs vs. pros. More than one million viewers tuned in to watch online.
