Empire star Jussie Smollett plead not guilty yesterday to 16 counts of disorderly conduct and filing a false police report. He is accused of staging a hate crime against himself.
I saw the video of him walking into court….. Jussie was walking in like he was filming a scene for Empire. It was very Hollywood!
Oh If you wanted to know…. the ratings for ”Empire” were down 13% on Wednesday night from the last time the show aired in December. Only 4 million people watched the show!
Buy the way there’s a big debate happening right now… Two judges in Chicago will be deciding whether to allow cameras in the courtroom for the trials of R Kelly Kelly and Jussie Smollett.
The camera issue is expected to be the focus of a hearing today in Kelly’s case, with media organizations having requested that cameras be allowed in the courtroom.
A lawyer for Smollett has said she’d welcome cameras, saying there’s been a lot of leaked misinformation and the cameras would allow the public to, quote, “see the evidence and the lack thereof.”
Now many of use remember…… Cameras famously broadcast O.J. Simpson’s murder trial, and critics have charged that it affected the behavior of everyone involved, including the judge, and turned the trial into an entertainment spectacle.—– So what do you think…. Should they broadcast the trails?
