This is a little scary, but fascinating at the same time because footage of a man sleeping while his Tesla was on “Autopilot Mode” is going viral!
Apparently while en route from Anaheim to Los Angeles the people who captured the footage saw that the Tesla driver didn’t have his hands on the wheel and actually woke up for a second before turning and going back to sleep.
You can see the footage below and while none of us own a Tesla we have to think that the “Autopilot Mode” isn’t just ready yet for that type of driving. Startling cell phone video appears to show a man snoozing while his Tesla is on Autopilot on a busy California freeway.
According to the company’s website, “Autopilot is intended for use with a fully attentive driver who has their hands on the wheel and is prepared to take over at any time.”
