For the month of March, the Belleville Police Service is raising awareness for Fraud Prevention Month, focusing on protecting residents from scams.
The campaign highlights the rise of AI-driven, cyber-enabled fraud, including fake, high-pressure, or “too-perfect” online listings and messages.
On Tuesday, Det/ Sgt Martin Charbonneau and Det/ Cst Devan Aris join Sean Kelly and Mariam Serkal to explain what scams are making the rounds, and what residents should look out for.
