Neurodivergent refers to individuals whose brain functions, learning styles, or behaviors differ from what is considered typical. This includes people with conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD, and others.

Neurodivergent individuals also can struggle with language skills when they are overwhelmed so art can be a way for them to express a situation or feelings in a positive, supportive environment where they feel comfortable so they can explain their emotions in a non-verbal way.
