So, Black Phone 2 just scared its way to the top of the box office this weekend. It cost $30 million to make and already raked in $42.5 million worldwide — including $16 million overseas. Horror fans are clearly still willing to pay good money to scream in public.
In Hollywood wedding news — and yes, there’s drama — Kevin Costner’s ex, Christine Baumgartner, just married his former buddy Josh Connor. The wedding went down in Santa Barbara, around 100 guests, and Christine wore not one but two designer dresses. That’s how you say “I’m moving on” in couture.
Taylor Swift is reportedly working on a prenup with Travis Kelce. Because love is sweet, but lawyers are forever. Sounds like both of them are on the same page though — protecting what they’ve built without killing the romance. Call it The Eras Tour: Legal Edition.
Speaking of Travis — he and his brother Jason, aka the Kelce Bros, are now entering the BBQ game. They’re teaming up with Rufus Teague to launch two sauces — Classic and “Amped Up,” which is basically barbecue sauce with beer in it. Coming in 2026. So, tailgate season just got a little saucier.
Pete Davidson flew his pregnant girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, to see Paul McCartney on a private jet. She called it a “special lil bucket list moment.” Honestly, Pete’s love language might just be “grand gestures with jet fuel.”
Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli have officially split. And thanks to their 1997 prenup, Lori probably won’t see a dime. Apparently, she’s frustrated he hasn’t changed much since the whole college admissions scandal… but they’re keeping it peaceful for the kids. Nothing says growth like “I still don’t like you, but I’ll wave politely.”
In “Only in LA” news: a Lakers fan tried to sue LeBron James for $865.66. Why? He thought LeBron’s “The Second Decision” was his retirement announcement — turns out it was just a tequila ad. The guy dropped the lawsuit after scoring free merch and tickets, so all’s well that ends in freebies.
Sad news from late-night: Jimmy Fallon lost his beloved dog, Gary. He called him their “first baby, therapist, pillow, and comedian.” Gary had been with the family since 2012. Hearts out to Jimmy — losing a dog is rough. No joke there, just love.
And in possibly-on-again territory: Blac Chyna says she and Rob Kardashian are “healing” and “going with the flow.” She even hinted at wanting more kids with him. Could be a reunion, or just good co-parenting vibes. Either way, Dream’s keeping them busy.
Over at Disney, streaming platforms took a hit last month. Disney+ and Hulu saw a spike in cancellations — some tying it to Jimmy Kimmel’s brief suspension, others blaming the price hike. Over 7 million people pulled the plug… though, oddly, millions also signed up at the same time. So basically, no one knows what’s happening — not even Disney.
And good news for Hocus Pocus fans: Bette Midler says the script for Hocus Pocus 3 is “brilliant.” Disney’s confirmed it’s happening — so go ahead and dust off your cauldrons, witches. The Sanderson sisters are coming back for more spell drama.
