In Canada, CBC is facing a lot of criticism over their $18 million in bonuses this year, including $3.3 million for executives, despite having cut 600 jobs. Critics are calling the bonuses “performance pay” inappropriate given the layoffs. The CBC board is expected to review its compensation practices soon.
