Get ready for some nostalgia because Disney has officially given the green light for Freaky Friday 2! Fans of the 2003 comedy will be thrilled to hear that Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are in talks to reprise their roles.
Director Nisha Ganatra, known for her work on Hulu’s Welcome to Chippendale’s and the 2020 film The High Note, will be at the helm of this much-anticipated sequel.
The idea for the sequel first emerged back in October 2022, with Curtis expressing her interest. And just recently, Curtis teased fans with an Instagram photo featuring Lohan, hinting at the possibility of a reunion.
While we don’t have any release plans or dates just yet, the anticipation is already building. After all, the original Freaky Friday grossed an impressive $160 million worldwide, so expectations are high for this sequel. Stay tuned for more updates as they come!
