With countless social media creators talking about their own mental illness, treatment and symptoms, researchers and clinicians are hitting the alarm bell on the effect that this is having on young people as they over-identify and self diagnose.
On the MIX Morning Show, Sean Kelly and Mariam Serkal sit down with Dr Julie Gowthorpe, RSW to discuss how social media platforms, including TikTok and Instagram, have both been accused of creating a mental health crisis for adolescents.
