Guess what caught me off guard at Costco over the weekend? Christmas music serenading the aisles like it’s no big deal, even though we’re still in August!
I casually strolled into Costco with the intention of stocking up on my favorite bulk snacks. But to my surprise, I found myself surrounded by twinkling tinsel and cheerful Santa hats. It’s like summer took a quick nap and woke up as December!
Can you believe we’re already contemplating putting Christmas trees alongside jumbo packs of paper towels in our shopping carts? As for me, I’m not quite ready for that festive fusion! Especially when Costco showcases an LED Christmas tree that carries a heftier price tag than my monthly rent.
Sure, some might argue that it’s premature to deck the halls in August, but let’s give credit where it’s due. At least Costco isn’t attempting the impossible task of selling Halloween candy and Valentine’s Day cards simultaneously. Kudos to them for wholeheartedly dedicating their store to one holiday at a time!
