Dr. Julie Gowthorpe, RSW talks to Sean Kelly and Mariam Serkal about feeling taken for granted.
The feeling of not being appreciated is something most of us can relate to, at least on occasion. This morning, we talk about how we can change that feeling of being taken for granted into a feeling of worthiness.
LISTEN:
Feeling taken for granted is rooted in the belief that someone does not appreciate all the things you do for them. On the flip side, you are taking someone for granted if you are used to them being there fulfilling a certain role in your life that benefits you, but show little to no appreciation for their actions.
