Aaron Tompkins and Mariam Serkal welcome Dr. Julie Gowthorpe, RSW to talk about International Women’s Day, which is a global day celebrating the achievements of women.
So while it is a day for celebration, there are daily reminders, globally and here in Canada, that there still is a long way to go to achieve gender equality. This morning we spoke about celebrating with a mindset.

Here in Canada female journalists and politicians have spoken out about how they have been targeted because they are women with hatred and threats. The right to safety and security has been ignored for Indigenous Canadian Women.
