QBC has a special 10hrs of broadcasting with the Maurice Rollins Day of Remembrance in partnership with the Enrichment Centre for Mental Health.
–The Maurice & Marilyn Rollins Foundation will match all donations up to $50,000.
The Enrichment Centre for Mental Health will be receiving calls ( donations ) starting at 8am. QBC will not be receiving donations. Successful businessman and philanthropist Maurice Rollins passed away June 3 at the age of 94. Although a hard driving entrepreneur who built a construction company, a hotel chain and other businesses, Rollins dealt with mental health issues on occasion throughout his life.
He was not afraid to talk about his struggles and donated generously to mental health causes as well as many other charitable endeavors in the Quinte region.
