The City of Belleville lost a well-respected sports figure Friday.
Dave Mills passed away at the age of 74.
Mills was highly influential in the Ontario golf scene.
He was the executive director of Golf Ontario, the chair of the Belleville Sports Hall of Fame, founder of the Bay of Quinte Golf Championship and much more.
He was instrumental in the development of junior golf programs across the province.
