You might want to start walking solo more than with your partner because apparently it’s negatively affecting your physical health!
New research from the academic journal finds Gait & Posture that couples who walk together end up walking at a much slower pace than if they were to walk separately.
Researchers also found that holding hands with your partner decreases your pace even more!
Study authors were hoping to see slower partners would speed up to match the faster partner, but instead, they found couples walking together are slower overall regardless of their age.
Now this isn’t to say you have to do every exercise without your partner, but if you’re both going on a walk then you might want to both do your own things!
