Sometimes you really don’t want people to see EVERY photo in your photo album because you’re not 100% sure if everything is “safe for work” in there, but iPhones now have a feature that will help you “hide your photos!”
“Hide Photo(s)” is a hidden feature almost every updated iPhone can now use that actually puts your embarrassing photos in a hidden album far away from your main camera roll so that none of your friends accidentally see that photo you sent your one-night-stand when they’re looking for a group photo.
Here’s how you can “hide a photo:”
- Find the photo you want to hide
- Tap “Select” in the upper righthand corner, then tap the photo to select it.
- Go to the bottom left corner of your screen and tap the “Share” icon
- Scroll down past your share options and tap the “Hide” function, marked by a symbol of an eyeball with a line going through it.
- Tap “Hide Photo.”
That photo is now in your “Hidden Album,” which can be found by going to your photos and scrolling all the way down under the “Utilities” section, where it says “Hidden,” characterized by the same eyeball icon as before. Once you tap “Hidden” you can see all of your hidden photos.
Now get to hiding all of your embarrassing photos!
