Wendy MacFarlane is trying to help others and turn her own challenges with post concussion syndrome into an opportunity to raise awareness. Wendy has a university degree in Psychology and a college diploma in Behavioural Science and so is very interested in neuroplasticity of the brain but also the healing potential we have to survive and thrive after life’s toughest challenges. With 25 years experience as a Family Worker, Behaviour Consultant and Child and Youth Counsellor in schools, Wendy is hoping to use her knowledge of working with children, together with her own lived experience, to help others realize there is hope. She believes that surviving hard times enables us to have more empathy and compassion and also to learn about our strengths and resilience. “Hope Flies!
