Who was CF Snowbirds member killed in crash? Capt. Jenn Casey remembered as a ‘beautiful person’

A former employee of Quinte Broadcasting (CJBQ, Mix 97, Rock 107, and Quinte News), and a former Quinte West resident, was the victim in the fatal Snowbirds crash Sunday in British Columbia.
Captain Jennifer Casey (formerly Jennifer Howell while with Quinte News) worked as a News Anchor and Reporter for Quinte Broadcasting in 2013-14, and moved on to join the Royal Canadian Air Force. She was stationed at Canadian Forces Base Trenton where she served as a Public Affairs Officer. Casey lived in Quinte West from 2013-2018, when she was reposted.
She was the Public Affairs Officer for the Snowbirds Aerobatic Team. The Snowbirds were scheduled to complete a flyover of the Okanagan as part of Operation Inspiration Sunday. Shortly after takeoff the plane Casey was in crashed in Kamloops.
Casey and the Snowbirds team were in the Quinte region Friday May 8 as part of the same operation, which saluted front line workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
