
Resorts are shut down. The tourism industry, has an estimated 2.5 million people working and generates nearly one-third of the region’s economy – is completely closed.
Other than the Dominican Republic, with 5,300 cases of coronavirus and 260 dead, the rest of the Caribbean population is faring fairly well.
The tourism industry will face an economic crisis unless things get back to normal.
Most of it depends on the United States, the U.K., and Canada.
