It’s time to either invest in some good noise cancelling headphones, or start warming up your screaming voice, because a new study says we’re going to need them when we hit the road this holiday season. Whether it be with partners, friends, family, or even strangers, the average Canadian is predicted to get into 12 arguments or disagreements during their travels this month.
And to make matters worse, the survey also says the average traveler will have at least eight stressful moments and worry about being late about four times.
Sounds like the 12 days of Christmas needs a rewrite. Cut out the birds and add in the anxiety.
And if free cookies in the office aren’t keeping you from getting your work done, the travel panic probably is.
The average person starts to worry about their festive trip five days before it starts. And that build up makes them a hair-trigger with 93% of travelers admitting to getting agitated as soon as there’s one hiccup on the road.
What’s the biggest holiday travel stressors you have to look forward to? The number one answer people gave for why they lose-it is poor road conditions, followed by bumper to bumper traffic, and them having an item go missing while traveling.
