This is a break-in, but not your usual type. A British Columbia man got a call from neighbors about a possible break-in and returned from vacation to find a group of raccoons had broken through his ceiling and ransacked the house. He says the animals bored a hole through his wooden shingle roof to get into the garage attic, and from there were able to make their way into the house. The animals basically trashed the home– leaving their waste around, eating sugar, and damaging or destroying many valuable items– but somehow missed a pantry full of food.
