A restaurant in BC is going viral thanks to their new creation: “Beer Ramen.”
Yuu Japanese Tapas in Richmond, BC has created a dish which looks like a frothy stein of beer with ramen noodles floating in it.
In fact, it’s not beer at all. The beer ramen is served cold, made up of a chilled bonito broth with cold ramen noodles. It’s put in a chilled stein and topped off with a mixture of egg whites and gelatin, which have been whipped into a foam to look like the froth on top of beer. A seasonal item, it’s currently only available for the summer at a price of $14.95, which comes with veggie tempura.
For those that find it less than delicious-looking, the restaurant also serves hot ramen in bowls.
