It seems like it’s been going on for months, but today is the official first day of the provincial election campaign. Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Dowdeswell dissolved the province’s 41st Parliament yesterday, paving the way for a general election on June 7, 2018.
All of the main party leaders will be on the campaign trail today. Kathleen Wynne with a couple of events in Toronto before an evening rally in Ottawa.
Doug Ford heads to eastern Ontario for events in Carp and Renfrew. NDP Leader Andrea Horwath will campaign in Toronto and Green Party Leader Mike Schreiner in Toronto and Guelph.
