Something positive has come from the Humboldt tragedy . It has inspired many Ontarians to become organ donors. The Trillium Gift of Life Network says more than 180 people registered online to become donors on Sunday alone. That is nearly triple the number from two weeks previous. One of the players killed in Sunday’s crash was 21-year-old defenceman Logan Boulet from Lethbridge, Alberta. Family members have said that Boulet was kept on life support until his organs could be donated. It’s believed six people immediately benefitted from that gift of life. Boulet signed a donor card shortly after his 21st birthday last month, making it possible for his organs to be donated in the aftermath of the catastrophic crash. To learn more about organ donation in Ontario: CLICK HERE!
