Millions of Canadians suffer from eating disorders. The most common kinds of eating disorders range from anorexia, bulimia and binge eating. Anybody can suffer from an eating disorder regardless of gender, age, race, ethnicity or any other factor.
The goal of National Eating Disorder Awareness Week is to get people across the country talking about the issue. Eating disorders are sometimes misunderstood and hopefully celebrating this week will help educate people on the topic.
The MIX 97 Morning Crew spoke with a woman named Aly Peterson, who works at EasyFinancial in Trenton. Aly struggles with anorexia. She took the time to inform Mix Nation about eating disorders and her experiences with them.
