The 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics have been riveting so far! Canada has been doing fantastic, currently sitting at 19 medals total. Canada is now in third place overall, behind only Germany and Norway who are in second and first place respectively.
Earlier today Canadian Ice Dancing duo Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir waltzed their way to a gold medal set to Moulin Rouge. The two broke records with their score of 206.07 points. This is a significant improvement over their previous best record, which was 118.33 points back in December. France’s pair Guillaume Cizeron and Gabriella Papadakis got the silver medal with a very close second.
The duo say this win was a wonderful way to end their Olympic careers. They won the gold medal for ice dancing at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. They also won the gold medal at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.
