At 1pm EST on Saturday February 3, at Batawa Ski Hill and across Canada the skiing community will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for making the most snow angels at the same time at multiple locations. Over 50 ski hills and resorts will be participating in the
attempt to beat the current record of 15,851.
The effort is being held as part of Canadian Ski Patrol Day, a day that honours the lifesaving work undertaken by the 4,500 volunteer ski patroller providing advanced first aid and rescue services to more than 220 ski hills and resorts across Canada. “Canadian Ski Patrol are Canada’s guardians on the snow. Helping to break the record for most snow angels seemed like a fitting way for the ski community to celebrate the people who look over the snow” said Canadian Ski Patrol president and chief executive
officer, Colin Saravanamutto.
