Samra Zafar for International Women’s Day, 6:00-7:00 pm at the John M. Parrott Art Gallery. Belleville Public Library is pleased to host speaker Samra Zafar as part of the International Women’s Day event. Zafar is a multiple award winning graduate of University of Toronto, public speaker, upcoming author, and the founder of Brave Beginnings, an organization dedicated to helping women find mentorship, friendship and support to rebuild their lives after oppression and abuse. Ms. Zafar aims to empower women and will discuss her own story of struggle and success, the insights she has gained about why myths, fears and stereotypes about women still exist today, and how changes can be made. She will be speaking in the gallery at the Belleville Public Library on Tuesday, March 8th following the 4:30 pm International Women’s Day March through downtown Belleville.
